A Sales Tribute to 9-11
Today marks the 10th anniversary of the 9-11. The country comes together to recognize the heroes of the day, offer condolences to the families left behind and reunite in the common purpose of freedom and independence that defines this country. There are many programs and memorials being conducted across this great nation to honor the brave men and women of 9-11. From the police officers to the fire fighters to the crew of United 93, the programs are good reminders of what we take for granted in this country.
- No one is blocking your Facebook or Twitter account.
- You can start a business in this country without having to “know someone” or be born into a certain class.
- Freedom of speech to say what you like to whom you like without fear of someone knocking at your door in the middle of the night.
- Most of us can get a drink of water without worry of contamination.
- Many of us will go to sleep on a real bed, not the hard ground.
These are just a few of the freedoms we enjoy daily. (Makes you wonder why so many Americans spend the majority of their day complaining.) I started my business 10 years ago and do remember where I was on September 11, 2001. I was driving to work, listening to the radio, not believing what I was hearing. Ten years later, I have the privilege of working in a business I love because of the freedoms offered by this country. So this week and every week, be grateful and remember the heroes of 9-11. As Lee Greenwood sings, “I’m proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free.” Good Selling! Colleen Stanley
